Cashier

Summary

The Cashier is responsible for assisting guests in a friendly and efficient manner in the company’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.

Responsibilities
  • Cashiering: maintaining POS (Point-of-Sales) operations including opening and closing procedures
  • Efficient and honest handling of all cash and credit cards adhering to company policies
  • Daily cleaning of restaurant/café, storerooms, and equipment, kitchen and public areas
  • Stocking Grab n Go coolers and maintaining beverage and ice cream station (if applicable)
  • Sandwich preparation when needed
  • Work individually and with the team to surpass expectations in an efficient, motivated, and positive can-do manner
  • Provide timely, courteous, and professional service to all guests
  • Follow all health and safety standards, policies, and initiatives
  • All other duties as may be assigned
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service and people skills
  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment and in proximity of other people. Must be able to carry up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Frequent bending, twisting, lifting, and squatting will be required
  • ServSafe and / or state food handler certification (if applicable)
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

This is a part time position.

Education & Experience

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Six (6) months food and beverage experience preferred

Customer Service experience
