Job description

Summary:

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager – Front End-Receiving, Cashiers will greet and engage customers during the checkout process, process customer funds accurately, and explain additional Cabela’s services and processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet and engage customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
2. Provide a legendary experience for every customer and promote Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s programs.
3. Use Point-Of-Sale and Inventory (SAP) computer systems to accurately and quickly complete customer transactions following all policies, including those requiring identification and age checks.
4. Process customer payments using debit, credit cards, gift cards, and cash.
5. Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic within the job scope.
6. Assist asset protection by following all procedures and policies, including checking inside products, verifying prices, and handling security devices.
7. Address customer complaints or issues by correcting problems or notifying a Manager on Duty.
8. Perform opening and closing duties as needed, such as emptying trash, stocking bags and supplies, organizing cash drawers, and cleaning counters.
9. Assist in other store areas when needed based on business needs.

Qualifications:

• One or more years of experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer expectations.
• Ability to use good judgment and logic.
• Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle is a plus.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s specific products is an asset.
