Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Chaudière-Appalaches, QC is seeking a part-time cashier to join our team. You will operate the cash register, scan merchandise, and assist customers at checkout.

Typical day includes punching/scanning items, ensuring correct prices, handling cash and deposits, and maintaining accurate till balance while meeting productivity standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with cash handling and customer service preferred.
• Retail experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Punch and/or scan merchandise selected by the customer.
• Ensure accuracy of prices punched/scanned and process cancellations as needed.
• Handle cash and non-cash payments and make deposits per policy.
• Balance the till and meet productivity standards (sales/hours, punching/minute).
