Job summary

Payzant is seeking a friendly CASHIER to join our retail team in Canada. As the first and last point of contact, you will greet customers, help them locate products, and ensure a smooth checkout experience.

You will handle payments with cash, debit, credit, and gift cards, keeping the cash area organized and accurate. The role requires strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Training provided; benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, helpful attitude toward customers.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and direct them to products.

• Work additional duties as assigned.
• Must be able to work 7am-1pm shift.

Responsibilities:

• Work in a safe manner in accordance with provincial and federal safety legislation. Report any potential hazards and unsafe behavior to management to have the situation corrected.
• Greet customers as they enter the store and direct them to the products they are looking for.
• Answer phones in a polite and timely manner.
• Process payments made with cash, debit cards, credit cards and gift cards by accurately and efficiently operating the cash register while treating every customer fairly and with respect.
• Be familiar with products/ads and the store layout to be able to answer questions and assist customers.
• Maintain the cash area and adjacent areas in accordance with the cash/sales floor housekeeping standards, ensuring supplies are well organized and replenished as required.
• Work on additional duties and assignments as assigned.
• Must be able to work between the hours of 7am-1pm
