Job summary

Walmart Canada in Dawson Creek is seeking a Cashier to deliver friendly, efficient service at the checkout. You’ll greet customers, process transactions, and help protect store assets with careful cash handling.

This role includes promoting sponsor programs, assisting with bagging, maintaining a clean workspace, and escalating issues to a Customer Service Manager as needed. Training is provided to ensure accurate and secure checkout operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Process all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
• Promote sponsor programs, i.e., credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Assist customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
• Ensure safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintain register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.
• Refer appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required.
