Job summary

Walmart Canada in Victoria, BC, is seeking a friendly Cashier to join our store. You will deliver exemplary customer service at checkout, handle transactions accurately, and support loss prevention with keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing purchases, promoting sponsor programs, assisting with bagging, and keeping the checkout area safe and tidy. Retail experience is helpful and 16+ age is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Able to operate a cash register and handle cash accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Process all purchases quickly and accurately, including EAS deactivation.
• Promote sponsor programs such as credit cards, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Assist customers with bagging and loading merchandise.
• Follow safe work practices and keep work area clean.
• Maintain register security and cash handling accuracy.
• Refer service needs to a Customer Service Manager as required.
