Overview

Job Description
We are seeking a full-time cashier to join our team at the Nunavut Arctic College in Iqaluit NU. The ideal candidate will have cash handling experience and a passion for customer service. This opportunity is in Iqaluit Nunavut; candidates must be willing to relocate to Iqaluit NU. Airfare is provided from Ottawa to Iqaluit and return for time off. You would receive 2 weeks off during Christmas break and 6 weeks off during the summer break to return home for your time off, with flights provided. Accommodation in Iqaluit is provided free of charge. Meals are provided onsite for a low-cost meal plan deduction. This position is 6 days/week 10hrs/day with one weekend day off, overtime in Nunavut is paid over 8hrs/day or 40hrs/week. Responsibilities

• Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs
• Adheres to Aramark?s cash handling policies and procedures
• Understand and be knowledgeable of the merchandise for sale to assist customers and accurately process transactions
• Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned for unit based on operating hours
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment during service and at the end of shift.
• Ensure product in location is stocked to appropriate levels throughout service and replenish items as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Previous cash handling experience preferred
• Basic math & counting skills required
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
