Choices Market Ltd in South Surrey is seeking a Cash & Office Lead Hand with retail or grocery experience and some team leadership exposure to help run daily front-end operations.

The role requires full availability including one weekend day and one closing shift each week; responsibilities include cash register ops, customer service, training new staff, and cash reconciliation; office admin duties may be required.

Choices Market in South Surrey currently has an opening for a Cash & Office Lead Hand. Ideally we are looking for someone with retail or grocery experience who also has a some team leadership exposure.This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take on a more responsible role and who has a passion for natural and healthy food. This role must have full availability which includes one weekend day and one closing shift each week.

We are seeking someone who:

• clearly demonstrates the maturity to supervise others;
• is personable, outgoing and ambitious;
• is a good communicator and can write well;
• has work experience within a produce department setting;
• is service-oriented and can respond to customer needs;
• can efficiently perform basic functions in Microsoft Outlook and Excel;
• is capable of lifting up to 70 lbs; and
• is willing and able to stand on their feet all day.

Responsibilities of a Cash & Office Lead Hand include:

• The Cash & Office Lead Hand is responsible for the daily operations of the cash registers and for the store cashiers.
• You will provide excellent customer service at all times.
• You will learn and memorize all produce codes
• Responsible for ensuring all equipment is ready for use and cash areas are presentable at all times.
• Train new staff and support new Cashier Team Members
• Maintain awareness of the number of customers in line and call for additional cashiers when needed and assistance from specific departments when necessary
• Manage all aspects of the front end: customer concerns, ensuring cashiers give optimal customer service, and performance management as needed
• Office Admin functions
• Financial controls and cash reconciliation
• Provide additional support to the Cash Manager as required

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2 years cashier experience preferred
• Experience in supervising or managing people
• Education in related field is an asset
