Job summary

Canadian Pacific Railway is seeking an Analyst Corporate Reporting - Cash Management to ensure accurate daily bank accounting, intercompany transactions, and effective month-end close processes. The role emphasizes strong collaboration with Treasury and Tax to maintain reporting quality.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA or CPA-in-progress, 2+ years in corporate reporting, and hands-on experience with ERP/SAP, BPC, Excel, and Workiva, delivering precise journal entries and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
• CPA designation or training towards CPA
• 2+ years in a corporate reporting role
• Knowledge of US GAAP desirable
• ERP/SAP, BPC, Excel, Workiva proficiency
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Account for daily bank transactions, monitor bank accounts and cash management.
• Complete monthly bank and outstanding disbursement reconciliations.
• Prepare and document complex journal entries for tax and intercompany transactions.
• Assist with month-end close and external quarterly reporting, incl. notes and MD&A.
• Identify process improvements for timely close and forecast accuracy.
• Research implications of significant financial transactions.
• Reconcile information and recommend adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable regulations.
• Ensure SOX controls are followed.
• Respond to auditors and internal reviewers.
