Job description

  • Determine eligibility for disability in accordance with contract provisions
  • Frequently communicate with claimants who are on disability and drive discussions with a focus on ability and return to work
  • Identify creative solutions to increase the potential of accommodations, working with the employee, employer and treatment provider(s)
  • Identify early opportunities for intervention and resources available to accelerate recovery
  • Work with team members and the company’s leaders to identify opportunities and solutions for process improvements and enhancements
  • Maintain confidentiality within all privacy guidelines
  • Create and execute dynamic Case Management plans that are proactive and support an early and safe return to work
  • Work with the litigation and appeals team to assist in immediate resolution

  • You are a seasoned case manager with knowledge in group insurance contracts and confident in the interpretation and delivery of contractual provisions

  • Comfortable in having sensitive conversations with claimants while setting expectations
  • Expert knowledge of Disability Management acquired through a minimum of 2-3 years of experience
  • Post secondary education in Disability Management, Health and Safety or Insurance is an asset
  • French language capabilities are an asset
  • The ability to operate in a fast-paced environment in a rapidly evolving organization
