Summary of Position:

A member of the Transition PMSS (Post Majority Support Services) Program, the Case Aide PMSS/TP plays a key role in assisting the Post Majority and Transition Program Workers with case management and programming. Responsibilities include case management, administrative support, compiling information, developing productive relationships with clients, and assisting in the development and delivery of workshops, community education, and networking with collaterals. The work requires strict confidentiality and privacy. The incumbent should be a good coordinator, proactive, and capable of making meaningful contributions to the Transition PMSS Program team.

Qualifications:
  1. Some post-secondary education or an acceptable combination of education and work experience.
  2. 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role or child welfare environment.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).
  4. Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  5. Good understanding of Northern First Nation cultures and communities.
  6. Ability to speak and write Cree/Dene is an asset.
Working Conditions:
  1. Fast-paced, time-sensitive child welfare environment.
  2. Background checks must meet agency standards.
  3. Independent work within a team setting.
  4. Access to sensitive and confidential information, requiring privacy.
  5. Occasional overtime.
  6. Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
  7. Up to 10% travel, including remote and overnight trips.
