Position: Early Childhood Educator
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $20.00~$22/hour (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
Number of Positions: 2
Work Location: 3635 Coast Meridian Road, Port Coquitlam, V3B 3N9

Job Duties:

1. Develop and execute childcare programs to enhance children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
2. Lead activities involving storytelling, singing, and visits to local points of interest.
3. Provide guidance to children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
4. Manage daycare equipment and assist with housekeeping and cooking responsibilities.
5. Evaluate children’s abilities, interests, and needs, communicating progress or challenges with parents and fellow staff members.
6. Foster collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers supporting children.
7. Create and maintain a secure and healthy environment for children.
8. Oversee and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.

Job Requirements:

1. Experience: Experience as an Early Childhood Educator is an asset
2. Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required
3. Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
4. Language: English
