Job summary

Farm Boy in Ottawa, Ontario, seeks a customer-focused team member to deliver exceptional service and maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will engage with customers, share product knowledge, and assist with carrying groceries to vehicles while upholding Farm Boy standards.

The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced setting. English fluency is essential; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for delivering engaging and exceptional customer service.
• Retail experience is considered an asset; an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• The ability to work independently while maintaining strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and operational excellence.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach supported by strong communication and organizational skills.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on setting that involves multiple deadlines, extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, and work that may be performed in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions.
• Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.

• Greet customers and assist with carrying groceries from the store to their vehicles using Farm Boy Service Standards.
• Take responsibility for maintaining clean and safe work, storage, and front-of-store areas, including cart retrieval, sweeping, and seasonal walkway clearing.
• Follow all corporate policies and procedures, with a strong focus on Health & Safety, Food Safety, and proper equipment use.
• Support store operations by assuming other related duties on a periodic basis.
