Job summary

Northlands College is seeking an Instructor for our Carpentry Program located in Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan. The instructor will teach areas including construction documents, site layout, concrete, tools, foundations, floor framing, wall systems and roof trusses, while planning and monitoring student progress and providing feedback.

The position is a term full-time role spanning 74 instruction days, starting January 25, 2027 and ending June 11, 2027, with applications due August 15, 2026.

Qualifications

• Saskatchewan Journeyperson Certificate in Carpentry is required.
• Two years of recent, relevant post-journeyperson experience as a carpenter.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct topics including construction documents, site layout, concrete, foundations, tools, floor framing, wall systems and roof trusses.
• Plan and monitor student progress and provide feedback.
• Ensure compliance with Saskatchewan Polytechnic accreditation requirements.

Job description

Northlands College is seeking an Instructor for our Carpentry Program located in Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan. Candidates must have a Saskatchewan Journeyperson Certificate in the carpentry trade, two years recent and relevant post journeyperson experience as a carpenter and a valid Driver’s License. The accrediting institute for this program is Saskatchewan Polytechnic. The instructor must meet the accrediting institute’s requirements.
Areas of instruction include, and are not limited to construction documents, site layout, concrete, tools, foundations, floor framing, wall systems, and roof trusses. Additional responsibilities include planning and monitoring student progress and providing feedback.

This is a term full time position of 74 Instruction days. The term starts January 25, 2027, to June 11, 2027.
