Job summary

ZGG LTD. based in Mississauga, ON is hiring a Carpenter. The role involves fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware, reading blueprints, and building wooden structures.

Two positions are available and work is full-time and permanent. The ideal candidate will have 2 years to less than 3 years of carpentry experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• No degree, certificate or diploma required for this job.
• Equivalent experience in carpentry is acceptable.
• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience preferred.
• Ability to handle heavy loads and physically demanding tasks.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Must be organized and reliable with good interpersonal skills.
• Must speak English and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Fit and install windows, doors and stairs.
• Fit and install mouldings and hardware.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams and lay subflooring.
• Erect walls and roof systems; maintain and renovate structures.
• Work with wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
