Carpenter(s) with Concrete Experience (20 Positions)

REPORTS TO: Senior Project Manager

ROLE SUMMARY:

A2SKI Industrial is seeking skilled Carpenters with experience in concrete work to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both carpentry and concrete installation and will be responsible for building, shaping, and installing wooden structures while also working with concrete foundations, slabs, and other related tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, set up, and strip concrete forms for footings, walls, and slabs.
  • Construct and install wooden structures such as frames, stairs, and supports.
  • Install foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials.
  • Form, pour, and finish concrete for foundations, sidewalks, slabs, curbs, and other structures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations.
  • Assist in the installation of reinforcement bars (rebar) and other concrete structures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
  • Follow safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project deadlines and goals are met.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in carpentry, construction, or a related trade (formal certification is not required but an asset).
  • Experience in concrete formwork, pouring, and finishing.
  • Ability to measure, cut, and assemble materials with accuracy.
  • Knowledge of basic construction techniques with an emphasis on concrete.
  • Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and construction codes.
  • Ability to work with and read construction laser level would be an asset.

Role Criteria:

  • Drug and Alcohol screening is required/mandatory.
