JobDescription

This is a dynamic, hands-on position ideal for individualswho are mature, responsible, and able to manage a wide range of tasks.Successful candidates will become permanent members of our team, working onprojects in the Lower Mainland. The role may also require occasional travel toremote sites across British Columbia, depending on project needs. When workinglocally, the schedule will be Monday to Friday, while remote site work willfollow a 2-week on, 1-week off rotation.

Responsibilities

• Daily responsibilities willvary and will include different carpentry and labour tasks for theconstruction of camp and modular facilities, foundation to finish.
• Fittingand installing trim, doors, stairs, moulding and hardware.
• Repairingand renovating modular buildings.
• Buildingstairs, decks, landings and covered entrances.
• Riggingand building setting on foundations with trucks and/or cranes.
• Loadand unload materials and move materials to designated work areas.
• Constantattention to safety around the site and ability to abide by all safetyrules & procedures.
• Notifysupervisor when supplies are needed.
• Maintaincommunication with supervisor.

Qualifications

• Strongwork ethic and punctuality.
• RedSeal ticket or Apprentice carpenters preferred.
• Minimum5+ years of related carpentry or construction experience. Camp or modularconstruction experience is an asset.
• Hold avalid drivers licence and have a reliable vehicle.
• Readand interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determinespecifications and calculate requirements.
• Abilityto follow direction and a team player able to provide support, motivationandencouragement to others.
• Superiororganization and time management skills.
• Strongdecision making and delegation skills.
• Completionof Level 1 First Aid, Fall Arrest, or Health and Safety Trainingpreferred.
• Sufficientphysical strength, stamina and coordination to perform heavy manualoutdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Provingown hand tools is a bonus but not a requirement, specifically sawzall,skill saw, chop saw, table saw, radial arm saw, drills, drill press andair tools.
• Organization,cleanliness and a professional attitude are a must.
