Job summary

Job description

Kiewit is currently seeking an experienced Carpenter Journeyperson for the Path2Zero project, located in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.

Position Requirements

• Valid Journeyman (JM) Carpenter Ticket or equivalent hours
• Working Carpenter Foreperson positions are available
• Experience with Peri formwork is considered an asset
• Safety Tickets:
  • Valid Fall Protection is an asset but not required
  • Valid Confined Space is an asset but not required
  • Valid MEWP (Mobile Elevated Working Platform) is an asset but not required
• Minimum of five years' experience in industrial construction
• A clean five-year driver's abstract is required

Compensation and Shift Details

• Base wage: $49.39 - $56.80 per hour as per CLAC Collective Agreement. Rate dependent on position
• ITC Premium: $0.54 - $2.50 per hour on base hours (40 hours per week). ITC rate dependent on position
  
• $150 per working day LOA will be offered for night shift only for non local candidates
• Vacation pay: 6% on base hours (40 hours per week)
• Statutory holiday pay: 3.6% on base hours (40 hours per week)
• Night shift premium: $3.00 per hour if working nights
• Shifts run Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per day; Friday, 8 hours
• Overtime and weekend work may be required

• Candidates offered a position must successfully complete SureHire Drug, Alcohol, and 50lb Fitness to Work tests
