Job summary

First Onsite Restoration in Fredericton, NB is seeking a Carpenter I intern to learn from seasoned tradespeople while supporting restoration and rebuild projects. You will take pride in quality workmanship and helping families and businesses get back on their feet.

You'll work alongside senior carpenters on framing, drywall, painting, flooring, and finishing, helping prepare and clean job sites, handle materials, and operate hand and power tools safely.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in construction, carpentry, or restoration.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, building maintenance, and job site safety practices.
• Proficient with mobile devices and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools and follow instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Must be able to work overtime, on weekends and participate in rotating on-call schedule.
• Valid full class driver's license and clear driver's abstract depending.
• Fit test and other safety certifications.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CARPENTER

As a Carpenter, you'll work alongside senior carpenters on projects that range from framing and drywall to painting, flooring, and finishing work. You'll help prepare and clean job sites, handle materials, and operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently. You'll assist with installation and repair work, ensuring every task meets company standards for quality and safety. Some days you might help with drywall patching or trim work, while others could involve demolition or emergency repairs. You'll stay organized, communicate with your supervisor, and always keep safety front of mind. Every day is a chance to learn, grow, and contribute to projects that make a visible difference for our customers.

Qualifications
