Job summary

Ice River Sustainable Solutions is seeking a reliable Carpenter Helper to support residential and commercial renovation projects in Feversham, Ontario. You will assist with framing, drywall, flooring, demolition, and material handling, using basic hand and power tools, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong work ethic, and timely task completion. Training will be provided by experienced carpenters; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience and reporting to a Licensed Carpenter, with opportunity to be registered as a 1st or 2nd year apprentice.
• Knowledge of carpentry practices and skill in using tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to try new things and assume additional responsibilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of carpentry work including measuring and cutting materials, constructing structures, and installing fixtures. Demolition and site prep is occasionally required.
• Work with a wide range of tools including power saws, hammers, drills, and hand tools.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of interior and exterior finishes such as drywall, trim, siding, and roofing.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Receive training and guidance from an experienced carpenter.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supports carpenters with measurements, cutting, assembly, and installation with quality standards. Working and Physical Demands

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are essential.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions.

Pay Rate: $25.00/hr.
