Position: Carpenter Foreperson - Lower Mainland

Project Type: Buildings

Project Location: Lower Mainland

Rate: $45.21 - $48.83 per hour

Shift: Day or Night

Schedule: Monday to Friday - OT as per site needs

We are currently recruiting for a Carpenter Foreperson to join the team in the Lower Mainland! We're looking for skilled carpentry experience in multiple phases of construction, from foundation work to finishing.


Shifts are 5 days on 2 days off – chance to work overtime (this may include extended hours/ weekends/ or possible afternoon & night shift) if site requires.


In the role you will be:

  1. Leading construction on projects and ensuring that construction goals are achieved and meet or exceed client expectations
  2. Producing work that results in an exceptional client experience
  3. Ensuring projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes while maintaining high quality standards
  4. Working with the project team to meet milestones and completion dates according to the established project schedule
  5. Providing clear direction to those team members you’re leading, to ensure project targets are achieved
  6. Attending and providing input at project meetings and ensuring that information is transmitted to those on your team
  7. Assessing the target production goal, then establishing a team workflow while executing the plan to achieve it
  8. Supporting staff through coaching and team huddles
  9. Efficiently and safely using the relevant tools and equipment needed to produce the various assemblies for the project
  10. Supporting and maintaining healthy, happy work environments and corporate culture
  11. Maintaining clean, organized, and professional presentation of work sites

Requirements:

  1. You are a skilled Carpenter that has experience managing construction teams
  2. Hold a valid Journeyperson ticket.
  3. CSTS 2020 & WHMIS 2015
  4. Fall Protection (Ossa Preferred)
  5. You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory/leadership role
  6. Civil experience an asset.
  7. You have an understanding of construction phases and workflow
  8. Experience in multiple phases of construction, from foundation work to finishing
  9. Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
  10. Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada
