The FMO Carpenter position is located at the Teck Acute Care Centre (TACC) hospital facility in Vancouver and reports directly to the Facility Manager.
The FMO Carpenter is responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures, finishing and repairs, installing and repairing doors and hardware, light drywall and painting, installing various fixtures, and assembling and repairing mill/trim work at the TACC site. They will assist other skilled tradespersons and will perform various carpenter and non-carpenter related duties, as assigned by the FMO Facility Manager. The FMO Carpenter will use experience and technical skills to meet client requirements at the work site. The ability to work safely with minimal daily supervision is essential. Expected compensation for this role is a starting base pay rate of $46.33/hour in accordance with union rates (dependent on skills and experience and trade certifications).
