Carpenter

This position is with Fabmar Metals Inc.

Position Summary

The General Maintenance Carpenter tends to all areas of construction and maintenance in the yard and ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

• Planning, assembling and disassembling framing for wind blockers.
• Operating and maintaining a variety of manual tools and power tools such as handsaws, chainsaws, measuring tape etc.
• Managing repairs and upgrades to the facility.
• Managing grounds keeping duties, such as snow removal utilizing heavy equipment and other miscellaneous tasks.
• Construct/Erect scaffolding as instructed.
• Demonstrate flexibility to ensure deadlines are met.
• Bring any issues or possible delays to management’s attention and propose solutions.
• Other duties as required
  
  

• Minimum of 5 years of general carpentry experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Work effectively and efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment
• Forklift Operator License beneficial
