Job summary

Mid Ontario Doors is seeking a skilled Carpenter to manufacture, assemble, modify and finish custom wood doors, frames and cabinets to customer specifications. The role requires knowledge of reading drawings, operating woodworking machinery, and delivering high quality millwork in a fast paced production environment.

You will work 35-40 hours per week at our Mississauga location, with overtime at 1.5x after 44 hours. Wage is $37/hour.

Qualifications

• Completion of Secondary schooling.
• 2-3 years experience as a carpenter.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, tools, and machinery.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood components for custom doors, frames, and cabinetry.
• Operate woodworking machinery such as table saws, planers, jointers, sanders, and CNC equipment.
• Fit and install hardware, hinges, mouldings, and decorative elements.
• Sand, finish, and prepare products for staining, painting, or installation.
• Inspect completed products to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
• Repair or modify existing wood products as required.
• Follow all safety procedures, equipment guidelines and company production standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, modifying, and finishing custom wood doors, door frames, cabinets, and related millwork products in accordance with customer specifications, and established company quality standards. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in carpentry, woodworking, and millwork production, with the ability to interpret drawings, operate woodworking machinery safely, and produce high-quality finished products. This position requires precision, manual dexterity, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
