Job summary

Hana Homes Ltd in Langford, BC is seeking a skilled carpenter to perform on-site construction, renovation, and maintenance for residential and commercial properties. The role involves reading blueprints, measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials, and ensuring compliance with building codes.

You will build foundations, install floor beams, lay subfloors, erect walls and roof systems, and fit windows, doors, stairs, and hardware.

Qualifications

• 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry or construction.
• Secondary education or equivalent experience is required.
• Basic reading of plans and blueprints is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials such as wood and steel.
