We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Wage rate: $34.62/hr

Job type: Permanent, Full time

Start date of employment: As soon as possible

Education: Completion of high school is required

Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in carpentry

Work Location: Various locations in Lower Mainland

Business Location: Suite 348, 505 – 8840 210 Street, Langley, BC V1M 2Y2

Job Duties:
  1. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project specifications and requirements.
  2. Calculate measurements and materials needed based on technical documents.
  3. Prepare accurate layouts in conformance with building codes using various measuring tools.
  4. Plan and organize work areas and materials for efficient workflow.
  5. Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  6. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  7. Fit and install trim items, including doors, stairs, moulding, and hardware.
  8. Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures.
  9. Assess and fix structural damage or wear.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in wet, damp, strong odours, dust, cold environments, outdoors, noisy.
  • Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel.
  • Repetitive tasks.
  • Physically demanding work; ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
