Job summary

Woodpecker Timber Framing is seeking an experienced carpenter with timber framing expertise for on-site work in Canada. The role involves reading blueprints, measuring and shaping wood and related materials, and supervising apprentices and other workers on site.

Candidates should have 5+ years of experience, a trades certificate/diploma, and a Carpenter Trade Certification. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites are expected. The position is full-time and on-site only.

Qualifications

• 5 years or more experience in carpentry or timber framing.
• On-site construction experience across commercial and residential projects.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials (wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel).
• Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
• Operate CADD and other computer software systems.
• Use CNC machines for fabrication.
