Carpenter/Apprentice Carpenter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter or Apprentice Carpenter for projects located in Coquitlam, BC. In this role, you will work closely with the superintendent to determine daily tasks and participate in morning toolbox meetings. Your responsibilities will include reading blueprints, executing tilt-up construction, forming panels, footings, slabs, retaining walls, stairs, and completing various forms of light industrial tilt-up formwork.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints for construction projects.
• Complete tilt-up construction, including form panels, footings, slabs, and retaining walls.
• Assist in building panels, footings, retaining walls, and stairs.
• Prepare footing, slab, panel, and underground layouts.
• Select materials and plan work sequences and methods.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong communication skills.
• Capability to reach all job sites with own vehicle.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Vehicle strongly preferred.
• Tilt-up experience.
• Industrial construction experience.
• Telehandler experience.

Work Environment

Work in a busy, fast-paced industrial construction environment where safety and communication are top priorities. Most sites have around 15 employees plus approximately 60 sub-trades on site at any given time. Standard hours are from 7 am to 3:30 pm with potential for overtime. Enjoy quarterly catered site lunches and an annual work gear reimbursement.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
