Schlegel Villages' Riverside Glen in Ontario is seeking a compassionate Food Service Aide to join our care team. You will assist in serving meals and beverages, ensure diets and preferences are met, and support with catering events while following safe, sanitary practices.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Must hold valid Smart Serve Certification and Food handlers certification.
• Be able to stand or walk for the majority of your shift (8 hours max).
• Display a caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals and beverages to residents according to diets and preferences.
• Maintain safe, sanitary food handling practices and a clean dining area.
• Support with catering functions and events as needed.
• Work accurately, quickly and safely while collaborating with the team.
• Uphold resident-centered service and deliver high-quality customer care.
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
