Job summary

Aspira Martindale Gardens Retirement Living in Milton, Canada is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals aligned with residents’ dietary needs and cultural preferences.

You will join a caring team, ensuring dining experiences support residents’ health and well-being, while maintaining safety standards and collaborating on menu planning and ordering as needed.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 minimum education required.
• A valid Safe Food Handling Certificate and/or Smart Serve certificate.
• Experience with cooking in institutional, health care, restaurant, or hospitality.
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit.
• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Sienna Senior Living may utilize artificial Intelligence to screen or assess applicants for this position.

Responsibilities

• You will be a welcomed team member, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives.
• As a Cook, you will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals while considering residents’ dietary needs, preferences, and cultural considerations.
• You will contribute to creating enjoyable dining experiences that support residents’ health and well-being.
• In the absence of the team leader, you may assume responsibility for departmental operations including menu changes and requisitions.
