Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs personal care and patient-specific activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living, including but not limited to:

  1. Help with patients personal hygiene care
  2. Assist with dressing/undressing
  3. Prepare meals and food safety monitoring
  4. Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments
  5. Perform light housekeeping activities
  6. Provide medication reminders
  7. Assist with the prescribed range of motion exercises
  8. Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. HCA/CSW certified or equivalent (previous experience will be considered)
  2. Ability to work independently and make decisions with the support of your team
  3. A Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check required
  4. Excellent communication and listening skills
  5. Valid CPR & First Aid an asset
  6. Must have access to use of a vehicle
  7. Business insurance will be needed
