Alhaji and Lawrence in Edmonton, Alberta seek a dedicated caregiver to provide in-home care for two young children. The role includes supervising, preparing meals, personal care, school drop-offs, and maintaining a safe, healthy home environment.

Live-in optional accommodation is available at no charge, not a condition of employment, with wages of 20.00 CAD per hour for 35 hours per week, plus overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have good and verifiable references for childcare.
• Completion of High School, minimum 12 years of total education or equivalent.
• A 6-month in-class caregiver training course is considered an asset.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills in English.

Responsabilités

• Tend to the emotional well-being of our children.
• Supervise and care for our children and prepare nutritious meals.
• Organize activities and outings; assist with personal hygiene and social development.
• Take children to and from school and appointments; ensure a safe home.
• Bathe, dress and feed our children; maintain daily records as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and keep records of daily activities and health information.

My brother and I work full-time, and we are seeking a caregiver to help care for our children, who are 5 & 6 years old.

Type of Position: Permanent, full-time

Job Duties:

• Tend to the emotional well-being of our children
• Supervise and care for our children
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Organize activities such as games and outings for our children
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Take our children to and from school and to appointments when necessary
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
• Prepare our children for rest periods
• Bathe, dress and feed our children
• Discipline our children according to the methods requested by us, the parents
• Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties for our children
• Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children

Skills Required:

• Minimum 1 Year paid full-time work experience as a caregiver within the last 3 years
• Must have good and verifiable references for childcare
• Completion of High School, minimum 12 years of total education or equivalent
• A 6-month in-class caregiver training course is considered an asset
• Good interpersonal and communication skills in English
