Qualifications

Location: In-Person, Local Community

Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Shifts Available: Daytime, Evening, Overnight, and Weekends

Key Responsibilities

Care responsibilities will vary based on client needs and your experience. These may include:

Connection and Companionship

  • Providing conversation and social interaction
  • Reducing isolation and promoting emotional well-being

Daily Living Support

  • Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Providing medication reminders and routine assistance
  • Escorting clients to errands or medical appointments

Memory Care and Cognitive Support

  • Supporting clients with dementia and memory loss
  • Encouraging familiarity, consistency, and emotional comfort

Personal Care with Dignity

  • Assisting with hygiene, grooming, toileting, and dressing
  • Always delivered with professionalism and respect

Complex and Specialized Care

  • Assisting with mobility and safe transfers
  • Supporting clients with spinal cord injuries, chronic illness, or palliative needs
  • Following individualized care plans with direction from our clinical team

Fostering a Safe and Uplifting Environment

  • Being a consistent, calming presence
  • Promoting client safety, independence, and reassurance

Qualifications

  • Must remain attentive and engaged throughout assigned shifts
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Clear criminal background check
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with access to a reliable, insured vehicle
  • Valid OFA First Aid Level 1, Food Safe Level 1, and WHMIS certification an asset
