Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families, assist with activities of daily living, attend to individual care needs, and understand their preferences and personalities.
  • Notify management of changes in resident condition and recommend adjustments in care and services.
  • Assist residents with life skills and life-enriching activities as per their profiles.
  • Incorporate multi-sensory experiences into residents' daily routines.
  • Participate in developing and updating Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
  • Maintain oversight of designated residents during shifts, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with OSHA and safety regulations.
  • Respond to dining needs, maintaining high standards of hospitality and service.
  • Encourage and assist residents in engaging with life skills and activities.
  • Uphold Sunrise Principles of Service in all interactions.
Qualifications:
  • Passion for serving seniors and excellent customer service skills.
  • Positive attitude and flexibility to perform various duties.
  • Preferably registered with BC Care Registry.
  • Current Food Safe and First Aid certifications.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous experience with seniors is preferred.
  • Good decision-making, judgment, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
