Our Engineer-Career Re-entry Program in Fort St John, Kamloops, Prince George, or Calgary, Canada, presents a rare opportunity to demonstrate your skills in a forward-thinking and diverse environment.

This 18-month fixed-term position is tailored to assist your growth and reintegration (Approx. 24 hours / week <30-40 hours also acceptable>) into the engineering field with a focus on natural gas operations and process plant systems.

What You Will Do:

• Support field operations and personnel by providing technical assistance to strictly adhere to applicable codes, processes, and standards.
• Lead or support technical operations such as audits, reliability support, investigations, process improvements, technical reviews, and projects.
• Offer technical support in emergency response situations and efforts.
• Identify and assess reliability issues, preparing and approving work packages for engineering modifications.
• Collaborate with various teams, including Area Operations, Engineering, Projects, and 3rd party vendors and contractors, to ensure effective installations and modifications.

Who You Are:

• A registered Professional Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and immediate eligibility for registration with APEGA or EGBC.
• You have 4 or more years of experience in engineering, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems, process systems, and process plant operations.
• In-depth knowledge of natural gas operation and reliability programs, and experience developing and completing small-scale projects.
• Committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and you value collaboration and teamwork.
• You are adaptable and resilient.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work in extreme climate conditions.
• Travel up to 35% of the time to support projects and area operations.
