Job summary

University of Dubai is seeking a Career Advisor to support students and alumni with career guidance, readiness programs, and employer engagement. You will connect talent with employment opportunities, contribute to graduate outcomes, and help align activities with labour-market needs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with university units, data-driven reporting, and ongoing professional development in career services and AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Career Counseling, Career Development, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Relevant professional certification in career development, career coaching, employability, or talent acquisition is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group career advising to students and alumni on career exploration, planning, job-search strategies, CVs and cover letters, interviews, networking, personal branding, and job-offer negotiation.
  • Design, coordinate, and deliver career-readiness programs, workshops, webinars, coaching sessions, and resources for student transition to employment.
  • Support students in identifying career pathways aligned with their programs, strengths, and labour-market demand.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers and industry partners to expand opportunities for UD students and graduates.
  • Source, screen, and promote employment opportunities and maintain vacancies on career platforms and databases.
  • Plan and coordinate career fairs, employer engagement activities, and recruitment events with stakeholders.
  • Maintain a network of employers, recruiters, mentors, and industry professionals for employability development.
  • Monitor labour-market trends and translate findings into career guidance and initiatives.
  • Promote professional certifications and qualifications to strengthen employability.
  • Support data collection, validation, and reporting on graduate outcomes.
