What you’ll be doing

When you join our Career Accelerator Program (CAP), you will kickstart your career and gain the experience necessary to excel in diverse and impactful roles at a leading Canadian financial institution. CAP is an 18-month rotational program with three 6-month rotations that offers significant flexibility for you to carve your own path that aligns with your personal and professional goals and is an excellent opportunity to launch your career journey.

As a CAP Associate, you will take on rotations in various areas within CIBC’s Cyber Third Party and Resilience teams (Access Management, Cyber Operations, Cloud Security, etc.) based on your interests and business needs. Throughout your rotations, you will develop knowledge about the roles, responsibilities, and interdependencies within Information Security at CIBC through challenging assignments and rotation experiences, informing your career path post-program.

In addition to your daily rotation work, you will have opportunities to pursue your interests through program-specific activities such as internal committees, peer-to-peer groups, training, and more. Upon joining CAP, you will be set up for success with comprehensive orientation, access to mentorship, and various learning opportunities.

We offer a flexible hybrid work environment where you’ll spend 1-3 days on-site per week, with the remaining days remote, to enable you to thrive in your role.

• Passion for Cyber, Third Party Risk, and Resilience: You are inspired by the evolving landscape of information security and have a strong curiosity or understanding of emerging trends in financial services, technology, and client experience. Proficiency in MS Office tools is expected.

Important Information

• You must have graduated in 2023 or 2024, or be graduating in 2025, from a post-secondary institution with a degree in Business, Technology, or Science, and be interested in a career in Cyber Security.
• Having completed a CIBC co-op is optional.
