Are you an RN or RPN who leads by example in meeting or exceeding clients’ expectations? Do you want to use your supervisory background to promote excellence in clinical service delivery? If so, you’re the type of professional who will excel as part of the CBI Health team.

As a Nursing Care Supervisor within our CBI Health Home Health Services team, you will lead a group of direct care providers to ensure that clinical service delivery meets or exceeds standards set by CBI Health and external stakeholders. Showing the way as a Regulated Health Professional (RN or RPN), you will supervise regulated staff (RN/RPN) in the provision of services that align with their scope of practice, with a focus on ensuring service and clinical excellence. The Nursing Care Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations of several programs and acts as a primary point of contact between clients, field staff, and managers.

As a Nursing Care Supervisor, you will:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Visiting, Shift, and Clinic Nursing programs
  • Participate in after-hours on-call support for the on-call nurses
  • Investigate, resolve, and report all customer-related complaints
  • Promote service delivery excellence through effective onboarding, mentoring, coaching, and performance management of field staff, including performance reviews
  • Ensure all team members are aligned with their Key Accountabilities and meet performance expectations
  • Participate actively in meeting or exceeding utilization, retention, and engagement targets of staff/care providers
  • Address staff training needs with action plans to resolve gaps, minimize risks, and ensure service excellence
  • Ensure all reporting meets standards of CBI Home Health, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies
  • Complete documentation accurately and timely, including client charting
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, especially regarding missed visits and clinical care
  • Respond promptly and thoroughly to Incident Reports
  • Enforce policies and procedures reflecting best practices

Requirements for Success

To succeed as a Nursing Care Supervisor, you must:

  • Be currently registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as an RN or RPN
  • Have at least 2 years of supervisory experience and/or experience in home health services
  • Be able to build rapport effectively with clients and staff
  • Possess a valid Ontario driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle for community travel
  • Be available for after-hours on-call support
  • Provide effective solutions that align with policies and uphold best practices
  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
