Job summary

CBI Home Health in Kingston, Ontario is seeking a Nursing Supervisor (RN/RPN) for a 12-month contract to lead Visiting and Clinic Nursing programs locally. The role involves on-call support, staff mentoring, and ensuring service delivery excellence in home health care.

The successful candidate will hold CNO registration as RN or RPN, have at least two years of supervisory experience, and be capable of travel within the community with a valid Ontario driver’s license. Flexible schedule offered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of visiting and clinic nursing programs.

CBI Home Health is looking to hire passionate and caring Care Supervisor, Nursing to join our skilled team in Kingston, Ontario for a 1 year contract position with the possibility of an extension.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $75,000 yearly.

What you will do:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of Visiting and Clinic Nursing programs
• Participate in afterhours on call support for the on-call nurses
• Be responsible for investigation, resolution and reporting of all customer related complaints
• Promote service delivery excellence through effective on-boarding, mentoring, coaching and performance managing of field staff, including performance reviews
• Ensure all team members are aligned to the Key Accountabilities of their role and are meeting performance expectations
• Participate actively in meeting or exceeding utilization, retention and engagement expectations of field staff/care providers
• Respond to identified staff training needs with action plans to resolve gaps, minimize risk and ensure service delivery excellence
• Ensure all internal and external reporting meets or exceeds all standards and expectations of CBI Home Health, external stakeholders and the associated Regulatory Body
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of appropriate documentation, including client charting
• Actively identify potential risks with internal stakeholders to mitigate and/or manage risk, with particular attention to missed visits and clinical care
• Ensure a timely and comprehensive response to Incident Reporting (IR)
• Ensure policies and procedures are enforced and reflect best practices.

What you will need to be successful

• Possess a current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse
• Have 2 years of supervisory experience and/or experience in the home health service delivery
• Be able to establish and build rapport with clients and care staff effectively
• Possess a valid Ontario driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle with the ability to travel in the community
• Have the ability to participate in after-hours on-call support for the on-call nurses
• Have the ability to provide the best possible solutions to problems that align with policies and uphold best practices
• Be self-motivated with an ability to work both independently and as an effective member of a team
