Job description

The TELUS Health Care Centre Edmonton clinic is looking for Nurse Practitioners to practice to their full scope using a holistic family centered approach while caring for patients of all ages.

Locations: TELUS Health Care Centre – 10216 124 St., #700 Edmonton, AB

Schedule: Flexible, Day shifts only, no evenings or weekends. 4-5 days per week.

Remuneration: This is a contractor role starting at $95/hour based upon experience

As a TELUS Health Care Centre Nurse Practitioner you will:

  • Deliver evidence based primary care through assessment, ordering diagnostic tests, performing procedures, prescribing pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies, and initiating specialist referrals
  • Deliver episodic and longitudinal care
  • Provide regular patient follow up to promote health and educate on disease prevention and management
  • Collaborate with other nurse practitioners, registered nurses, physicians and the allied health team members to foster a team-based, interdisciplinary approach
  • Make internal and external referrals as appropriate
  • Opportunities to deliver complex and specialized care, including but not limited to; prenatal care, pediatric health & wellness, chronic disease prevention and management

What do you need to apply?

  • Masters of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) degree or equivalent, with a post-Master’s diploma (PMD)
  • Current registration as a practicing Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Nurse practitioner category: Family Nurse Practitioner preferred. Adult and Pediatric NP will be considered
  • Active, unrestricted provincial license(s) with prescribing and/or lab numbers
  • Active CPR AED Level C certification

Preferred

  • 5+ years of primary care experience preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a positive and results-focused attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and patients
  • Proficiency in technology-supported care, including familiarity with EMRs
  • Commitment to delivering comprehensive patient-centered care with a focus on an exceptional customer experience and achieving the best possible outcomes.
