Pay Range

This range is provided by Seasons Retirement Communities. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range : CA$17.20 / hr - CA$17.20 / hr

Full-time, Permanent, Hourly

Location : 15 Fraser St, Cambridge, ON, N1S 0B8

  • Positions like caregiver, support aide, care aide, care support attendant, and personal aide are appropriate for this role.

We’re seeking a Memory Care Attendant to make a daily difference in residents' lives by providing exceptional, compassionate care, fostering relationships, and ensuring safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered care to residents with dementia / cognitive impairment, including medication administration, with professionalism and compassion.
  • Follow infection control measures to ensure safety.
  • Assist with activities, housekeeping, laundry, and meal services.
  • Respond to residents’ medical, physical, and emotional needs in collaboration with the care team.
  • Support residents with dining, walking, and eating assistance.
  • Maintain effective relationships with residents and colleagues, ensuring positive interactions.
  • Complete required training timely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Safe Food Handler’s certification.
  • Enrolled in Alberta HCA Directory (Alberta applicants).
  • Empathy and compassion for elderly, especially with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
  • Organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Tact and diplomacy in interactions.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment is a plus.
  • Experience in healthcare personal care preferred.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada. A criminal record check, including vulnerable sector screening, will be required.
