Job Description

Sunset Lodge provides person-centered care guided by Christ and rooted in love.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and skin / nail care.
• Ensure resident safety through appropriate behavior and work procedures.
• Assist with transfers and mobilization using proper techniques and equipment.
• Record observations and report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
• Transport residents for meals, activities, and services.
• Assist with meals, monitor intake, and report deviations from care plans.
• Contribute to the development of residents' care plans and participate in care conferences.
• Assist with resident admissions and orientation.
• Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards.
• Perform scheduled cleaning of equipment and assist with staff orientation as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 education, plus completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or equivalent.
• Current BC Care Aide and Community Registration.
• Skills include responsiveness, good interpersonal and communication skills, physical ability, typing, organizational skills, and operation of related equipment.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and provide screening documentation.

Compensation

The wage rate is $29.83 per hour plus shift differentials. The target hiring range is $28.31 to $29.07, with a maximum of $29.83, based on experience and qualifications. Reasonable accommodations are available upon request via [emailprotected] .
