Job Description:

Cardiothoracic Surgery PA (Per-Diem)

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center- Burlington

Join Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, a 345-bed nationally recognized tertiary care hospital, as a Per Diem Physician Assistant in the D ivision of Cardiothoracic Surgery.

Y our Role:

• Provide post-op care in ICU, Progressive Care, and Telemetry.

• Manage post-op cardiac surgery patients (ventilators, inotropes, vasoactive meds).

• Manage post-op thoracic surgery patients.

• Treat urgent medical issues (arrhythmias, hemodynamic instability, sepsis).

• ER consults & admissions.

• Surgical consults.

• Pre-op patient evaluation & preparation.

• Experience with : chest tube insertion, central/arterial lines, Swan-Ganz management.

• Handle urgent outpatient calls.

• Collaborate in a high-acuity environment.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience.

• Expertise in pre, intra, and post-op cardiothoracic patient management.

• Proficiency in ICU management.

• Strong procedural skills.

• Excellent teamwork & communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment .

Shift:

• Rotating, Per Diem.
