Position Summary :

As a Cardiology Technologist, you will play a vital role in our cardiology department by performing a variety of cardiovascular tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and management of heart disease.

Responsibilities :

• Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs), Holter monitoring, and other cardiovascular tests.
• Conduct stress tests and assist with exercise testing.
• Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
• Monitor patients during testing and respond to any emergencies.
• Record and analyze test results, providing accurate data for physician interpretation.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care.

Qualifications :

• While related experience is a plus, we encourage new graduates to apply!
• CVT applicants should be graduates of a Cardiology program recognized by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists.
• Current certification with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists is highly desirable, and applicants must be eligible for membership with the CSCT.
• We are looking for candidates who are proficient in operating cardiology equipment, possess strong attention to detail, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with IVs would be beneficial.
• This full-time position offers a Monday to Friday schedule, with daytime hours typically between 7 : 30 am and 4 : 00 pm.
• The successful candidate will have the ability to accurately read and interpret results from cardiac data.
• A valid CPR certification is a must.
