Job Overview

This position involves performing ECG tests, including explaining procedures to patients, completing documentation, and managing laboratory supplies. The role also includes conducting GXT (stress) tests, setting up Holter monitors, and ambulatory blood pressure cuffs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ECG tests and explain procedures to patients.
  • Complete documentation of ECG studies and observations.
  • Edit and process ECG requisitions.
  • Maintain laboratory supplies and equipment.
  • Perform GXT stress tests, Holter setup and scans, and manage ambulatory blood pressure cuffs.

Qualifications

  • Must be registered or pending registration with The Cardiology Technologist Association of Ontario Inc., The Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists, or Canadian Society of Registered Respiratory Therapists.
  • Two years' experience in Holter setup, Holter scanning, exercise stress testing, and ECG performance is an asset.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle routine ECGs, graded exercise testing, Holter monitoring, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Commitment to professional development through workshops, seminars, and ongoing education.
