Job summary

Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse in Cardiology to join our team. You will deliver advanced nursing care with a family-centered approach, contributing to planning and coordination across the care continuum.

Responsibilities include discharge planning, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and active participation in quality and safety initiatives. BLS and ACLS are required or to be completed within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Coronary Care Nursing Certificate (I–IV) or commitment to relevant courses; training may be sponsored.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required or will be completed within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient- and family-centered care in a cardiology setting.
• Lead discharge planning and care coordination within the multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to implement care plans.
• Participate in unit quality and safety initiatives.
• Demonstrate accountability and professional practice under OHSA guidelines.
