Job summary

MDSearch is recruiting full-time and part-time Cardiologists for a well-established regional cardiology practice in Peterborough, Ontario. Physicians will provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care while participating in the inpatient service at the Regional Cardiac Centre of Excellence.

The practice offers strong administrative support, a balanced mix of outpatient and inpatient duties, and the potential for partnership.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPSO registration (independent or provisional).
• Royal College Certification in Cardiology or equivalent.
• CMPA membership.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient cardiology consultations and follow-up care.
• Perform inpatient consultations and manage hospitalized patients.
• Participate in approximately 1-in-8 shared call schedule.
• Collaborate with nurse practitioners and a multidisciplinary care team.

This opportunity offers a balanced mix of outpatient consultative and diagnostic cardiology alongside participation in the inpatient cardiology service at the region's Regional Cardiac Centre of Excellence. The Opportunity

Physicians will provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care while participating in the inpatient cardiology service. Responsibilities include:

• Outpatient cardiology consultations and follow-up care
• Inpatient cardiology consultations and management of hospitalized patients
• Participation in an approximately 1-in-8 shared call schedule
• Collaboration with experienced nurse practitioners and a multidisciplinary care team

The practice offers comprehensive, accredited cardiac diagnostic services, including:

• Echocardiography
• Stress echocardiography
• Nuclear cardiology
• Exercise stress testing
• Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM)

An experienced operations and administrative team manages the day-to-day clinic operations, allowing physicians to focus on patient care.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have:

• Independent or Provisional Certificate of Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Royal College Certification in Cardiology (or equivalent)
• Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
