Kawartha Cardiology Clinic in Peterborough, Ontario, is expanding with full-time and part-time Cardiologists to join a collegial team that blends outpatient consultative work with inpatient service at Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in an 1-in-8 shared call rotation.
  • Deliver outpatient consultative and diagnostic cardiology services.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless hospital-to-outpatient care.

Kawartha Cardiology Clinic is seeking full-time and part-time Cardiologists to join our growing, collegial team. This position combines a busy outpatient consultative and diagnostic practice with participation in the inpatient cardiology service at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, offering a rewarding balance of clinical variety, continuity of care, and an exceptional quality of life.

Kawartha Cardiology is a well-established community-based cardiology practice with accredited echocardiography and nuclear cardiology laboratories. We are committed to delivering timely, high-quality consultative and diagnostic cardiac care to patients throughout Peterborough and the surrounding region.

Hospital Practice

As part of the role, physicians participate in the inpatient cardiology service at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, a designated Regional Cardiac Centre of Excellence. Responsibilities include inpatient consultations, management of cardiac inpatients, and participation in an approximately 1-in-8 shared call rotation. The service is well supported by experienced nurse practitioners and a collaborative multidisciplinary team, allowing physicians to provide seamless care from hospital through outpatient follow-up.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

Independent or Provisional Certificate of Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)

Royal College Certification in Cardiology (or equivalent)

Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
