Job Description

Salary Range: $37.95 - $45.18

Position Summary:

Casual position to work rotating shifts in Cardiac Diagnostic Unit, including some scheduled weekend shifts and availability at short notice. The Cardiac Technologist performs cardiac testing, including: Electrocardiograms, Stress Testing, Nuclear Stress testing, Holter hook-ups and scanning. The incumbent has experience in 12 lead arrhythmia interpretation skills. Advanced arrhythmia skills preferred. The Cardiac Technologist has the ability to work efficiently and accurately with Physicians during test procedures and with staff in a team structure.

Posted hours do not constitute a guarantee that shifts will not be subject to change.

Qualifications Required:

  • Completion of secondary school or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a recognized Cardiovascular Technologist program required.
  • Member of both the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologist (CSCT) and the Ontario Society of Cardiology Technologists (OSCT) preferred.
  • Must have previous experience in Cardiac Stress Testing, Holter scanning, and 12 lead arrhythmia interpretation.
  • Advanced arrhythmia skills are preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Team Player who demonstrates the CMH values.
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is required.
