Job summary

St. Joe's in Hamilton is seeking a part-time CVT Pacemaker Technologist to perform and coordinate all patient exams including Holter, ECG, BP Monitoring, Cardiac Stress and Pacemaker interrogations in a busy lab.

The successful candidate will hold CSCT registration, a 2-year CVT diploma, and demonstrate advanced ECG interpretive skills, strong documentation, and excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current CSCT registration in Canada.
• Two-year CVT diploma from a recognized college.
• Experience in ECG, Cardiac Stress, Holter, and Pacemaker Interrogation.
• Advanced ECG interpretive skills and arrhythmia identification.
• Proficient computer skills and EPIC documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care.
• Ensures timely completion of exams in an efficient and smooth-running lab.
• Prioritizes requests accordingly.
• Responsible for screening, performing monitoring and assessing patients during procedures.
• Flagging abnormalities to the reporting Cardiologist’s attention.
• Assist Cardiologist if patient becomes unstable during procedure.
• Review completed procedures for quality and completion.
• Complete necessary documentation post-procedure and download/analyze recordings.
• Maintain equipment for functionality and storage and ensure a safe environment.
